The third week is ending now. I was not a lot at the office (only Monday) this week. I was in Eindhoven for two days and in Den Haag for one day. I was at the Meet&Tweet event in Den Haag. There was also the writer (Huib Koeleman) of Twitteren op je werk. There was a discussion where I was prominent present. I had the attention of the writer. I told him about the wisdom of crowds and crowdsourcing. He didn't know this. He was surprised about what I know. He wants to keep in touch with me and maybe he want to use Philips as a casus in his next book.
I did a lot of networking at the event. I also found somebody that works at Oce and has a contact at Shell. He will try to contact Shell. Because they already introduced Social Media internal. Maybe I can go to Shell to see how they introduced social media.
The other days in Eindhoven I had interviews with several employees. I was surprised. There is a really open culture. They are open for new ideas and where enthusiastic about social media. Most them were so curious and asked me a lot about social media. The interviews went well and I had a good impression of the employees. I was impressed by the several buildings of Philips. Some buildings were very beautiful.
For next week I planned also interviews. But now with some people of the US. I will make a conference call with them. I will also receipt a new book 'social media at work'. I'm so curious that I want to read it immediately. Next week I will update my blog again.
